Tenn Buick is an actor, rapper, writer, content creator, podcaster, and martial artist who was born and raised in Queens and Long Island, NY. As a kid, he was so obsessed with Peter Pan that he wore out multiple VHS copies of it - one from Queens Public Library (which he is still really sorry about), and another bootleg from the street in Manhattan, since it wasn’t “out of the vault” yet (remember that?). He has always taken holidays far too seriously. In fact, he and his wife won Chipotle’s  #Boorito Halloween costume contest, which earned them free Chipotle for a year, a distinction he still ranks among his top life achievements. The night he saw Run-D.M.C. perform “Christmas in Hollis” on All That was a turning point in his life - the moment he decided to write his own rhymes, setting off a creative path built on imagination, curiosity, and never really growing up.

After years of freestyling in school cafeterias, on playgrounds, on college campuses, and at open mics, his first check from music came in 2015, when Joseph Gordon-Levitt chose his verse for the HitRecord album Front of Your Life. Since then, Tenn’s viral bars have caught the attention of The Rock, Phil Rosenthal, Dan Povenmire, Fat Joe, Shaggy, Mike Shinoda, Bebe Rexha, Saweetie, Jay Sean, and Ali Zafar, among others. Ludacris awarded him with a golden spoon for his entry to the Jif Rap Challenge, and he’s earned nods from Melissa Joan Hart and Kel Mitchell for his nostalgia-packed single Millennials Anthem. His verses have appeared in promotional campaigns for Netflix’s Project Power and on the soundtrack for Ubisoft’s Beyond Good & Evil 2 (if it ever releases).

As an actor, Tenn is a self-taught student of the Fielder Method in addition to having studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. He played Jimmy HipHop on Nickelodeon’s Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder - a show that only lasted one season but still managed to win a Kids’ Choice Award, so he’s calling that a win. He was critically acclaimed (mostly by himself) for his blink-and-you-miss-it appearances in the backgrounds of Westworld, Ballers, Lucifer, Big Time Rush, and The Oracle. He’s also become a regular face on Nickelodeon’s social media pages, making content with the SpongeBob and Avatar: The Last Airbender casts, dissecting iconic scenes, and bringing live experiences to viewers. He is also a writer on Cammy and Mike, an upcoming animated series produced by Rob McElhenney.

A lifelong martial artist trained in multiple styles, Tenn’s skills once caught the attention of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who retweeted his bottle-cap-challenge video. In fact, his content has frequently caught the attention of Bollywood stars, including Varun Dhawan, Nora Fatehi, Mallika Sherawat, and the legendary Hrithik Roshan.

In 2023, Tenn launched All Grown Up (Syke)!, a nostalgia-fueled podcast exploring 90s and 2000s pop culture through conversations with the icons who shaped it, including Jim Jinkins (the creator of Doug), who told Tenn, “You swept me off my feet in terms of your charm, your intelligence, your humor,” Marc Summers (host of Double Dare), who added, “You’re really good at what you do,” and voice legend Carlos Alazraqui, who described Tenn’s voice as “a young Phil LaMarr” (Tenn’s been milking that compliment ever since). Other guests have included Swampy Marsh, Phil Rosenthal, Kel Mitchell, Dante Basco, and more.

From scribbling rhymes in Queens to building nostalgia-fueled stories in Hollywood, Tenn Buick has turned his pop-culture obsessions into a career that’s sharp, funny, heartfelt, and proof that you can, in fact, build a career by refusing to let go of your childhood.
